Stuart Meakins - Principal consultant

With an international track record of delivering projects for over 25 years within the construction industry, Stuart Meakins is a highly regarded project practitioner.

Stuart has a bachelors degree from Kingston University in the UK as well as a masters degree from the Auckland University Law School. Stuart is a qualified member of the Association For Project Management (APM) and a Chartered member of the Institute of Water and Environmental Managers (CIWEM).

Stuart has many years of direct experience  managing construction contracts including ICE, NEC and NZS 3910 Engineer to the Contract  roles.

As a Project and Programme Manager, working in local councils, government departments, and consultancy,  Stuart has successfully delivered a large number of high profile public works projects, often with cost savings. He understands procurement, risk, and benefit assessment, and is familiar with local government  project and contract requirements.

Stuart  has also held senior advisory  technical and management positions  within consultant organisations. Stuart has worked as an Asset Advisor to the Crown Estate and Research Manager for the Construction Industry Research and Information Association (CIRIA).

Stuart is a passionate advocate for best practice and continuing improvement and education within the project management and construction industries.
